Agreement on Document of Understanding (Principles of Engagement)
for Feasibility Check Process

Agreement With the Software Vendor/Software Services Provider/Software Developer

  • FEASIBILITY CHECK PROCESS
  • Pre-requisite to begin this process
    • Scope of Requirements to be agreed and signed off by Adaptive Instruction over email to the software vendor/software services provider/software developer
    • Sample data provided by Adaptive Instruction to the software vendor/software services provider/software developer
    • Any Keywords/Keyword Lists/Templates/Values, documents that are needed by the software vendor/software services provider/software developer to be provided by Adaptive Instruction
  • The software vendor/software services provider/software developer checks for the technical as well as non-technical feasibility of performing the actual software development.
  • The feasibility check is done on a smaller set of data (compared to live production data)
  • The feasibility check is done in developer’s environment (not in the live production environment)
  • The feasibility check is done for a limited set of features (compared to the expectation documented in the scope of requirements)
  • The feasibility check is done using custom developed program/script considering the limited scope for the feasibility check.
  • Adaptive Instruction understands the limitations (of data, environment and feature scope) in the feasibility check and knows the risk involved in case some features are later found to be not feasible.
  • Actions after feasibility check is done
    • If the feasibility check result is that it is feasible, then developer does a walk through of the work done and shows the working version of the pilot program/script
      • Any doubts/queries from the developer are clarified in the same walk through session
      • If Adaptive Instruction Engagement Manager is satisfied with the walk through session and the outlook is positive in the ability and feasibility to implement all the needed features in scope, then he or she sends an email confirmation to proceed ahead (GO decision) to software development phase. If Adaptive Instruction Engagement Manager is not satisfied with the walk through session and the outlook is not positive in the ability and feasibility to implement all the needed features in scope, he or she sends an email confirmation to stop proceeding ahead (NO GO decision) to software development.
    • If the feasibility check result is that it is not feasible, then Adaptive Instruction Engagement Manager sends an email confirmation to stop proceeding ahead (NO GO decision) to software development.
I am now aware of all the points in the feasibility check process outlined above and shall follow the same. I have the right to raise concern with company if there is non-compliance to the above. The company has the right to raise concern with me if there is non-compliance to the above.(required)
