A Soul knows how to HEAL

Introduction by Venkat
Every parent would agree on the opinion that toys are meant to be broken. We are cognizant of this fact even before buying a new one. Before the toys do reach their expiry (many times sooner than their stipulated lifespan!), the experiences from them as a child continue to live on far beyond the date they were discarded. Likewise, in certain capacities (and even some mental faculties), there is no limit to extend our learning and experience. However, like toys, we ourselves, by our physical design, are ‘meant to be broken’ at some point. Often, the wear and tear happens by ill health or by traumatic experiences. Yet, by our unique life design as a coagulation of infinite capacities in a limited physical body, we are able to mend or amend ourselves to move on with our lives. In the process, the capacity to forgive and be compassionate grows because we can attune to others who experience the same pain that we have been through. In the overall balance sheet of life experience, the negative events turn out to be as much of value as the positive ones because they become the opportunities to exhibit and experience the human virtues of love, compassion and respect.

Chaina narrates her story of discovering her inner calling as a healer. The acute awareness of what one lacked becomes a reason to fulfill the same need in others. Therein, as Chaina discovered, our soul heals itself by connecting to the infinite human capacities the soul is endowed with, which we carry within the finite boundaries of physical limitation. She substantiates the same with real life examples of how some people found their wounds heal by touching other wounded souls. I am sure this will resonate with most readers, if not all. I wish to express gratitude for the third contribution from Chaina in this platform, adding more value to the wonderful repository of inspiration we have here.

A Soul knows how to HEAL

A soul knows how to heal itself. I am an empath, I used to get affected by the suffering of people and my introverted nature never allowed me to express my pain. As a child, situations never allowed me to nurture the creative side of my personality hence my pain did not find any expression. This inward pain created a lot of chaos inside me. A constant restlessness and deep anguish never allowed me to experience peace. My heart was searching for something very precious but my attachment to the family did not allow me to listen to my needs. The successive emotional crisis in the family kept me on my toes. On a rainy day, while looking outside the window with a heavy heart, I started questioning my existence and I decided not to drag my life anymore. Finally, I surrendered to my struggle of searching for something precious. My soul was bleeding and waiting to get healed for a very long time. The intense inner calling did not allow me to stop anymore. That is how I started my inward journey as if my soul wanted to heal it so deeply.

I left my comfort zone to fulfil my soul. While progressing on the path, I discovered I can heal people. It was my soul’s need to heal myself by healing others’ pain. It started out as a need, but now I can witness a very different angle to my healing. Now I heal people because I am just a channel, it is no more a need for my soul. I am settled with the peace within, and the mystical life amazes me every day.

We can witness such people and amazing experiences around us.

1. During the tsunami in Chennai, a man lost his wife and daughter. He was in deep pain and that uncontrollable pain led him to help people suffering during the flood or any natural calamities. This is how he is healing. How long he will be doing so depends on the intensity of that pain.

2. A young woman lost her soldier husband in a terrorist attack within a year of their marriage. Initially, she was completely engulfed by the pain, she was experiencing her pain. After six months, her soul was ready to heal that wound. She decided to join the army and prepared for the exam. She got selected as an army officer and was ready to serve the country. This way she wanted to feel what her husband used to feel. Despite knowing the fact that her husband lost his life on the battlefield, she is ready to heal her wound through the same.

3. A young girl lost her lover. This pain transformed her life completely. To heal her pain, she started a small-scale industry for poor women. This way she empowers them financially and emotionally.

4. A man in Mumbai serves meals to underprivileged cancer patients and to their relatives. On the pretext of supporting a family, he witnessed the situation of poor cancer patients. He experienced deep pain and that day he decided to serve meals to all poor people and their relatives. Today 700 people are being served by him.

The soul always knows what to do to heal itself. One needs to just be open to receive healing energy in any form.
